Installing, Activating and First-Running MiningMath
After checking the necessary system requirements and downloading one of the installer versions, we’ll go through the steps of installation, license activation, and running the application for the first time.

Installing, Activating and Running
Installing and activating MiningMath is quick and straightforward. All you need to do is follow the setup wizard and have an internet connection to activate your license.
Activating Your License
To activate your license, you will need to:
Open MiningMath (it will open automatically after the installation, but you can open it manually afterwards).
On the left menu, click License.
Select the field "I have an activation code" and paste the License Code provided by MiningMath.
Click "Activate license".
Opening an old project
If you need to open an old project, just follow these steps:
On the left menu, click on Open Project.
Search for the folder in which you saved your old project.
Select the ".ssprj" file.
Click on "Open" and it will show up on the "Recent Projects"
Now you can open it!

MiningMath’s licensing method demands an internet connection.
The software comes with a pre-installed project called Marvin_Strategy_Optimization, which uses the Marvin deposit, a widely used dataset in the literature. This project contains various pre-configured scenarios that will be useful in the future to learn how to use the software.
Follow these steps to quickly test the software:
Select the
Marvin_Strategy_Optimizationproject and save it to a folder on your machine where you have write permissions.Once saved, double-click on the project to open it. This project contains several pre-configured scenarios that can be run to test the software.
Run some scenarios to familiarize yourself with the software's configuration, execution, and results process.
The Marvin deposit will also be used throughout this guide and the entire knowledge base.
