Once the Producción subtab is complete, la Geométrico subtab will be enabled. In this section, you can define parameters designed to find solutions that meet the basic requirements for operational feasibility.

You can define five different parameters for each period range and timeframe:

  • Ancho mínimo de minería (megavatios)

This parameter specifies the distance (in meters) from one pit to another. Wider values allow for greater mining fronts and better designs for nested pits, retrocesos, horarios, or any other desired outcomes. (leer más).

  • Longitud mínima de minería (ML)

This parameter defines the minimum distance (in meters) required between at least two points along the walls of surfaces in two consecutive mining periods. This distance is automatically maintained for any values that are smaller than or equal to the Minimum Mining Width (megavatios) (leer más)

  • Ancho inferior mínimo (B/N)

This parameter specifies the minimum horizontal distance (in meters) en el piso más bajo del pozo. It ensures that mining operations can be conducted effectively based on the equipment sizing (leer más).

  • Tasa de avance vertical

This parameter indicates the vertical distance (in meters) mined in each period. It is calculated by evaluating each mining face independently (leer más).

  • Límites de minería de superficie

You can add two types of surface restrictions:

Minería forzada: This option requires a surface file (.CSV) as input. It defines an area that must be mined within a specified time frame, ensuring that all material within the boundaries is fully depleted (leer más).

Restringir la minería: This option also requires a surface file (.CSV) as input. It defines an area outside the imported surface that cannot be accessed within the specific time frame, effectively setting a maximum mining depth for that period (leer más).

Nota: Surfaces are the most important constraints within MiningMath's constraint hierarchy, allowing you to impose one's understanding and take control of prior results and operational aspects.
